Have chronic feet pain which has never healed in years? — I may have a solution.
My friend has had chronic pain for years now. He used to run marathons as a kid, so there were no issues growing up. And everything was fine as long as he lived in tropical climates. The year he moved to a colder area, he woke up at 5:00 AM in the morning screaming with pain from his foot which had completely swollen and he could not put any weight on it.
The x-ray showed a stress fracture. No trauma, nothing — but still a stress fracture.
He wore the air cast for a month, and the fracture was fine, but it never really went away. He was limping for years, because the doctor could not fully heal his foot.
He went back to his home country after ~4 years and met an orthopedic surgeon there who did physiotherapy on his feet and also modified his shoes so that it put less pressure on his injured feet. That was what finally fixed it then.
When he came back to the US and talked to the Harvard educated MD — he said of course! if you want to go to physic therapy, we can send you there. So, you had to tell the doctor the treatment for him to treat you. Strange!
