I often think about the foolish engineer at Google who wrote that women are not built to be software engineers. There was a strange dichotomy about that statement which I have pondered about for a while now. I finally got the answer in the past few weeks.

A human baby is one of the most powerful computational hardware in our known universe. It has all the hardware and the necessary basic software needed to grow into a fully grown intelligent, sentient entity at adulthood.

Men have often spent very little time bringing up their children. Women historically have spent far more time bringing up their children then men.

Hence, I say that women are far better programmers than men because they are not only able to create from scratch the hardware and basic software for a human baby, they are also able to help it grow into full adulthood.

The absence of males does leave a void for sure, but the absence of females would leave a bigger void in the growth of a human adult. So, I say that if you look at it from a purely logical, biological perspective, women can make far better programmers than men. I would even go to the extent of saying…
